Congratulations to Christopher Bearman

08-Feb-2010 Central Coast Conservatorium is CONGRATULATING Christopher Bearman for receiving OAM.

Chris Bearman has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for his contribution to the development of music education and performance in the Central Coast region.

Bearman has been director since 2003 although he began teaching there in 1994, the year he migrated to Australia from England.

Aside from his work at the Central Coast Conservatorium in a number of roles, Chris was a founding member of the Friends of the Performing Arts Precinct committee, helped establish the region’s annual gala concert series which has been operating since 1999, has served on the executive of Regional Conservatoriums of NSW and collaborated with Gosford Council and Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Lands Council providing music for the annual 5 Lands Walk.
