David Dallinger (Head of Woodwind Program)
Sax & Clarinet Teacher
David graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree (First Class Honours) from Newcastle Conservatorium in 2000, where he studied Saxophone and Clarinet with Margery Smith. He was selected to perform the Glazounov Concerto with the University Symphony Orchestra in the third year of his Degree and toured as a saxophone soloist with the Australian Youth Orchestra to France in 2001. David joined Central Coast Conservatorium in 2000 and has since become an integral part of the Woodwind Department as an instrumental teacher, conducting and tutoring several of the Conservatorium's school bands, creating and running the junior and senior clarinet/sax ensembles and as Head of Woodwind Program from 2012 to mid-2014 and returning to the Head of Program role in 2017. David runs the "Saxinettes" Junior and Senior Sax and Clarinet Ensembles, along with two Saxophone Quartets (subject to enrolments). He also conducts Super Band.
