Elisabeth Jacobs has recently returned to Australia after a career of performing and teaching in the United Kingdom. As a winner of the ABC Concerto and Vocal Competition she recorded and performed with the major orchestras in Australia. Elisabeth received her early training at Sydney Conservatorium graduating with many prizes and went on to further study at St Petersburg Conservatoire as a Churchill Fellow. From St Petersburg she moved to Glasgow where she took up the position of Lecturer in Piano at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She gave many solo recitals, lecture recitals and also accompanied instrumentalists. During her time in Glasgow she established and served on the jury of the Scottish International Piano Competition. Most recently she has enjoyed adjudicating piano classes of City of Sydney Eisteddfod.
Elisabeth joined our teaching staff in February 2013. She is also available as an accompanist.
