CMP Teacher/Choir Director
Joanne McMahon is an Early Childhood Music Teacher and is Director of the Central Coast Children's Choir and Katandra Voices. She has varied musical experience and training, including experience as a chorister, solo performer, choral conductor and educator, singing and piano teacher and early childhood music educator. Joanne has accompanied the Central Coast Children's Choir on many tours including working and performing with Brisbane Birralee Voices, Young Voices of Melbourne and Sydney Children's Choir over the past eight years. She has attended many choral workshops and professional development programs with internationally renowned conductors and educators, including Lyn Williams OAM (Gondwana Voices and Sydney Children's Choir), Stephen Leek (Australian composer and Conductor), Paul Holley (Birralee Blokes, Gondwana Singers) and Fernando Malvar-Ruiz (Director of the American Boy Choir).
Joanne is thrilled to be heading up the new Choral Program at Central Coast Conservatorium and excited to be working with these two talented choirs.
