Karina completed her Bachelor of Music in Violin at the Sydney Conservatorium in 1991, and received the Musica Viva award for Chamber Music. She then completed her Master of Music Education in Violin Performance and Pedagogy in 1993. She has played in the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Philharmonia Orchestra and Sydney Spring Festival Orchestra.
Since moving to the Central Coast in 1994, she has led the Symphony Central Coast and developed the Concertante Ensemble from a trio to a Chamber Orchestra of twelve or more. In 1999, Karina studed in Vienna with Zalcher Bron at the Vienna Masterclasses. Karina currently teaches violin at Central Coast Conservatorium on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. She also directs a chamber group and the String Ensemble for Saturday Morning Strings and tutors at the Friday night Youth Orchestra. Karina also delivers a number of small group violin lessons at Rudolf Steiner School on Wednesdays. She regularly performs with other tutors as part of our Events Calendar.
