A Flood of well wishes for a much-loved Artistic Director05-Jun-2020
The Central Coast Conservatorium of Music is grateful for the many messages of support that have flooded in for its Artistic Director, Patrick Brennan, following his serious accident on Saturday 16 May.
Well wishes have come from his peer group of music performers and educators, teachers, students, parents and members of the Central Coast community.
The Dean of Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Anna Reid, was among those who sent warm wishes for Patrick Brennan's speedy recovery from all his friends at the Conservatorium, with a link to a 'bit of cheer' from the Sydney Con Chamber Choir.
In a public statement, Diane Perche the President of the Northern Sydney Symphonic Wind Ensemble, said that Patrick was the heart and soul of the NSSWE.
"He plays a critical role in educating the next generation of musicians and inspiring a love of music performance. Everyone at NSSWE - that staff, the board, the musicians, and their families is looking forward to seeing him back where he belongs, in front of an ensemble." Diana said.
In additional to his role as Artistic Director of the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music, Patrick has played an important role in creating the Central Coast Opera and playing a leadership role in the regional arts community. through the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums, he has delivered some remarkable performance projects for the NSW Regional Youth Orchestra.
"Patrick Brennan is a driving force behind the Regional Youth Orchestra, an orchestra comprised of the most talented young musicians from Regional Conservatoriums across NSW. In both rehearsal and performance with RYO, as a conductor Patrick is generous, inspiring, engaging and exacting - his passionate leadership and vision brings out the best in RYO," said Anita Bellman, President of the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums and Executive Director Northern Rivers Conservatorium Arts Centre.
