Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update 26/326-Mar-2020
The Central Coast Conservatorium of Music will remain operational on Friday 27th March with the majority of our services now being delivered via video conferencing.
As is the case with many of NSW leading education institutions, the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music will for the foreseeable future move completely to online education. This will be effective by close of business Friday 27 March 2020.
I am so very proud of the Conservatorium teachers and staff who have been working under extreme pressure to transition seamlessly to online delivery within such a short period of time. This has been a huge undertaking for all involved and shows the determination and spirit of our incredible team and the passion they share for delivering excellence in music education to students of all ages on the NSW Central Coast.
Also, amazingly, amidst all the turmoil of the past few weeks I am delighted to announce that the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music has just been awarded the Certificate of Distinction 2019 - Top 10 result in the category of Most Outstanding Studio or Music School, Grade 5 to Certificate in all Instruments by the Australian Music Education Board (AMEB).
Under the difficult and testing times that we now endure, this national recognition of the high-quality teaching and learning that happens at the Conservatorium is certainly most welcome news.
Finally, it is incredibly encouraging knowing that we have a community that stands behind us which has been clearly evident in recent times. We wish to thank everyone who has supported our actions over the past weeks and those who continue to respond so positively as they unfold.
Management will continue to review our operational status in line with NSW State Government advice on a daily basis.
