La Boheme - Call for Singers

15-Feb-2018 Auditions are now open for La Boheme.

Performance dates: Saturday 18th to Sunday 26th August
Venue: Laycock Street Community Theatre, North Gosford

Calling all singers:

The Central Coast Opera returns this season with its 2018 production of La Bohème. Central Coast Opera’s productions are an inclusive and nurturing training environment for aspiring operatic performers. Over the rehearsal period, you will learn to develop or refine your classical singing voice with our world class vocal coaches, you will learn stagecraft with director Warwick Doddrell, work with conductors Patrick Brennan & Phil Rees and perform with a professional orchestra. Our production team consists of members with great passion, knowledge and industry experience.

We are looking to cast soloist leads, supporting roles, understudies and chorus. Adults, teen (12+) and children (8+) are invited to audition. Come lose yourself in the glorious music of Puccini's masterpiece of comedy and tragedy, love and loss, hope and hopelessness, laughter and tears, and above all, the triumph of the human spirit.

Upon successful audition, you will join us in the revelry of opera's most famous arias, lush duets, rowdy crowd scenes, and comical cat fights taking place under the streetlights of a Paris coming alive: The City of Lights.

NB: We are double casting each role & understudies and offer a wonderful learning opportunity for all.
