Alyse Faith Recital

Alyse Faith has successfully applied to the Royal Academy of Music, London. This concert is a farewell to Alyse and a fundraiser to help her with getting to London.

Central Coast Conservatorium is proud to announce that Honours Flute Graduate Alyse Faith has successfully auditioned for the Royal Academy of Music in London to study a Master of Arts (Performance). Alyse will relocate in September and is very excited at the opportunity.

Alyse is four-time-winner of the Central Coast Conservatorium’s Woodwind Scholarship and received the Pearl Beach Music Scholarship in 2012. As an undergraduate in Melbourne, she studied with Mardi McSullea and was the recipient of The Talent 3MBS Fine Music Melbourne Audience Vote Performer of the Season Award in 2016 and in 2017 the winner of the Most Promising Wind or Brass Award in the Australian Concerto and Vocal Competition.

Now 22, Alyse began her music journey at age 8 at the Conservatorium, learning flute with Lyn Brislan. “Lyn is one of the most inspiring people, as a musician and as a person”, says Alyse. Now retired, Lyn is a highly distinguished flutist and piano accompanist and taught at the Conservatorium for many years. Alyse remembers her first lesson in one of the holding cells in the heritage Courthouse building, which is the Conservatorium’s main campus.
