Central Coast Chorale Concert 1 - Made in Salzburg
NOTICE OF EVENT CANCELLATION
Sadly due to the COVID-19 The Central Coast Chorale have cancelled their 19 April concert.
Come and enjoy the Central Coast Chorale opening to its 2020 series of concerts with "Made in Salzburg", a celebration of music by Mozart and Michael Haydn, the gifted younger brother of Joseph Haydn.
Mozart, born and bred in Salzburg, became a close friend of Michael Haydn who spent most of his life there. They greatly admired one another's music.
"Made in Salzburg" is a rare opportunity to hear Haydn's "Requiem in C Minor", which greatly influenced Mozart's famous "Requiem".
Both the Requiem, composed in 1771, and the Coronation Mass, 1779, were composed and first performed in Salzburg, hence the title of the concert.
Coronation Mass KV317 by Mozart
6 Country Dances - K606 by Mozart
Requiem in C Minor by Michael Haydn
Music Director, Christopher Bowen OAM

After its sensational performance of "The Creation" played to a packed audience at the end of 2019, the Chorale, its professional chamber orchestra and a fine array of soloists look forward to sharing this wonderful program with the music lovers on the Central Coast. - Christopher Bowen, Music Director, Central Coast Chorale."
