Why Join an Ensemble?

- Tuesday, October 17, 2017
Playing in an ensemble has many benefits:
  • Meet like-minded people of a similar standard and age
  • Learn to read a music score in parts
  • Increase your Practice Schedule so you don't let down the band
  • Master your instrument (or voice, if joining Choir)
  • Rehearse with a professional conductor - a cost effective group lesson
  • Improve your self confidence
  • Build a performance portfolio (this can be useful if you are applying for further education in the field of music)
  • Get friends and families involved in your music education
  • Go on tour with your group
  • Experience the thrill of playing in professional Performance Venues
  • Perform exciting pieces written for orchestras
  • Be on the program for a popular opera or musical theatre performance
  • Have fun!

Central Coast Conservatorium has a number of graded ensembles for its students and others learning an instrument independently or privately.  More info
