One to One Tuition
Students are generally ready from 8 years of age to commence private lessons on their instrument of choice (or 6 years of age for strings and piano lessons). Lessons are available on a weekly or fortnightly basis. For young children we recommend weekly lessons, building from half an hour up to one hour per week as the student progresses.
The Conservatorium runs roughly in parallel with the NSW Board of Studies term dates. When you enrol, we will book a term of lessons with your allocated teacher. It is expected that the student will have their own instrument to practice on. If not, the Conservatorium has a limited bank of instruments available to hire.
Lessons are available in:
Brass: French Horn, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba
Guitar: Bass, Classical, Contemporary
Woodwind: Bassoon, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Saxophone
Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
Singing: Classical, Contemporary, Breathing Technique
Percussion: Tuned (Orchestral) Percussion, Drum Kit
