Beginner Violin Ensemble

The Conservatorium runs a number of beginner violin ensembles on a Saturday morning.  The cost includes hire of a suitably sized violin.  This is a wonderful introduction to violin lessons and an affordable entry into our String Program.  Students commence in the Beginner Violin Ensemble, in small groups of 3 or 4 students, and progress to one-to-one violin lessons after two terms (by recommendation from the violin ensemble director).  The ensemble rehearsals happen during school term and the fee covers a minimum of 8 rehearsals per term.

There are two ensembles for absolute beginners and another ensemble for intermediate violin students.
