We seek to inspire our Central Coast community to engage in and value music as an integral part of life through comprehensive music education and artistic endeavour.

Introduction to Improvisation

Learning how to improvise on your instrument

This class introduces students to the concepts, skills and art of improvisation: using their imagination to create music on their instrument as they perform. The class (which runs subject to enrolments) is for all different instruments and is delivered by teachers from the Contemporary Music Department.

Jazz Ensembles - Central Coast Conservatorium Jazz Ensemble

As part of the Improvisation class students join the Central Coast Conservatorium Jazz Ensemble where they put their knowledge into practice.

Styles of Music: Jazz Band and Jazz Ensembles

The styles of music covered include contemporary popular music, blues, jazz and latin music. Students need to have at least 4 years experience on their instrument. Classes are conducted in a fun & friendly atmosphere. Enquiries are welcome.
