Saturday morning Mini Strings for beginners

  • Post category:Latest News

Calling all primary school beginner strings players. Would you like to play in a group with other string musicians at Central Coast Conservatorium of Music? Join our Mini Strings Saturday morning program.

Central Coast Conservatorium of Music’s Mini Strings program is a group class for beginner string players (who have been playing between 6 months and two years) who have not played as part of a group before. It is an excellent grounding for playing in ensembles and bigger groups, such as chamber groups or orchestras.

Held on Saturday mornings on our Gosford campus with Marina Hopcroft, the class runs  as part of our Saturday Strings program, from 9am-10am, at the Cottage in Georgiana Terrace.

“Students will learn the skill of playing and listening to different harmonising parts, while watching a conductor,” said Mini Strings teacher Marina Hopcroft. “It’s fun and interactive and will develop your musicianship exponentially.”

Many of our young Mini Strings students have gone on to progress into our ensembles, including the Central Coast Chamber Orchestra and Central Coast Youth Orchestra.

  • Mini Strings costs $220 per term (minimum 8 weeks).  Discounts apply for CCCM one-to-one strings students. For pricing details click HERE
