Musicianship

Musicianship helps all aspects of musical understanding and application. Students benefit significantly from Musicianship classes, which in turn accelerates practical progress on their instrument. Students can commence Musicianship classes from late Primary School or early High School. Higher levels of Musicianship can help with HSC Music.

Our new courses, developed by Dr Phillip Rutherford, cover the following topics:
  • Read music more accurately
  • Understand how music is structured
  • Improve aural abilities ie. ‘ear training’
  • Sight reading skills
  • Sight singing skills
  • Music history
  • Music appreciation of all styles of music, from classical to popular
The cost per term for Musicianship classes is just $132.
