What people say...

I first started attending music classes at the Con when I was four years of age. I appreciate the teachers and the staff there, as they have enabled me to play music in such a positive environment and having become more proficient, opportunities opened up for me to participate in ensembles, chamber groups and especially the Youth Orchestra.

I belong to a community group of recorder players who use the Conservatorium to gather. When talented recorder teacher Joanne Arnott joined their staff, I jumped at the opportunity to have private weekly lessons. This was one of the best decisions of my long life. Due to Jo’s teaching skill, along with her caring manner, I feel I am now making tremendous progress.

Without the Con I would not have the same level of experience and skills that I have and use today. I love that the Con is in an easy and convenient location and that the teachers and staff are always very friendly and helpful.

My wife told me I had a reasonable voice but being a retired person, I thought I was too old to learn. One day I walked in, and I was put with Michaele [Archer]. I look forward to my lessons – singing brings out the creative part of me, and I always feel very good after singing lessons and concerts.

The thing I love most is the experience and enjoyment I feel while being there. The Con is filled with so many wonderful teachers that are welcoming, intelligent, caring and most of all funny. Being there is always a pleasure as I have made many close friends and so many memories.
