UNE Bachelor of Music

Instrumental and Vocal Studies through UNE - Central Coast Conservatorium of Music

The University of New England (UNE) and the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music (CCCM) have developed an exciting new partnership which allows tertiary students to receive face to face tuition whilst they complete their Bachelor of Music online and remain on the NSW Central Coast.

The Instrumental and Vocal Studies program offers a sequence of advanced performance training units over the course of the 3-year Bachelor of Music degree. Utilising the experience and expertise of CCCM’s teachers, each unit incorporates weekly one to one instrumental and vocal lessons alongside a host of activities provided through the CCCM.

UNE’s online course offers flexibility for students of all ages to study regardless of location, time and manner. The partnership allows students to go out into the community and meet new people and develop their own networks. It will engender personal connection and collaboration through participation in ensembles, master classes and workshops with world-class special guest artists. Other opportunities may include accompanying and/or conducting work as well as the productions of concerts or creative projects with the support of CCCM and UNE.

With its proximity to UNE Sydney campus, Central Coast students can also take advantage of the facilities in Parramatta which include a mobile music technology and production lab.

The program specialises in providing students with comprehensive, creatively focused music training in an online environment. Students build their creative music making skills in songwriting, composition, performance and music technology while developing a thorough knowledge of the historical, cultural and theoretical background of music genres via the study of musicology, ethnomusicology and popular music studies. Additionally, the program fosters advanced music craft skills in aural and harmony.

UNE is Australia’s premier provider of online undergraduate tertiary music studies. They specialise in flexible and innovative approaches to online music studies.
