Please note the enrolment process for our premier ensembles & choir program differs from this process due to an audition requirement. Please see the question below.

An audition is required for a student to enrol into our Premier Ensembles & Choir Program (excluding Mini Voices Choir).
Go to our Premier Ensembles or Choir program Page, where you will find the audition/ enquiry form. Fill this out, and one or our ensemble coordinators will contact you to arrange an audition/ offer a trial.

FAQs current students may have:

I am discontinuing from the Con. Do I need to let you know?

Yes!

Simply not attending classes/ lessons does NOT automatically cancel your enrolment.
You must inform admin in writing by either
– Emailing our admin team directly OR
– Filling out the discontinuation form

While we encourage you to inform your teacher, it is not their responsibility to notify admin of your discontinuation.

I am already a student at the Con. Do I have to re-enrol at the start of every term/ year?

No, once you have completed the enrolment form, your enrolment automatically continues into the following terms/ years unless you notify admin of any changes.
Please notify admin if:

  • you are changing your enrolment (discontinuing or enrolling into something new).
  • your personal details have changed (e.g. address, phone number, email).

I want to discontinue mid-term. Is there a notice period or fee?

For individual lessons: a 2-week notice period if required if discontinuing mid-term.
For ensembles: fees are charged per term, so no refund are issued for mid-term discontinuations. However, if you discontinue within the first two weeks of term (or before the invoice due date), your invoice will be voided.

Is there any discontinuation notice required for individual lessons?

At the end of a term or during school holidays: No notice period is required, but you must notify admin in writing by filling out the Discontinuation form or emailing admin directly.
Mid-term discontinuation: A 2-week notice period if required, as your teacher has reserved your lesson time for the entire term.

Is there any discontinuation notice required for ensembles/ classes?

At the end of a term or during school holidays: no notice period is required, but you must notify admin to ensure your enrolment is discontinued.

Mid-term discontinuation: Ensemble fees are charged for the full term, meaning that if you discontinue mid-term, your fees will not be refunded. However, if you withdraw within the first two weeks of term (or before the invoice due date), your invoice will be voided and your enrolment will be discontinued.

What happens if my teacher is absent from my ensemble/ class?

Will will first try our best to find a suitable subtitute teacher. If no replacement teacher is available, the class will be cancelled for that week.
We guarantee a minimum of 8 lessons per 10 week term.
If the teacher provides less than 8 lessons, makeup lessons will be arranged, or a small credit for the missed lesson will be issued. Please note, it is rare that les than 8 lessons will be provided in a term.

What happens if I miss an ensemble/ class?

If you miss a rehearsal, nothing will happen in terms of compensation.
There will be no refund or credit for a missed class or rehearsal.

Invoicing FAQs

How often do I have to pay an enrolment fee?

Enrolment fees are charged once per year per family.
The $50 enrolment fee will automatically be added to your term 1 invoice.

Students enroling after the conclusion of Term 1 will be charged a pro-rata enrolment fee.

Why did I receive an invoice for this term? I did not agree to continue lessons.

All enrolments automatically roll over into new terms and years unless we are notified otherwise. If you have not contacted admin directly in writing to discontinue, you will be invoiced for the upcoming term.

I notified my teacher that I was discontinuing. Why have I still been invoiced?

While we encourage you to inform your teacher of your discontinuation, it is not their responsibility to notify admin. All discontinuations must be submitted to our admin team in writing – either by emailing admin directly or filling our the discontinuation form. If you have not formally notified admin, your enrolment remains active, and invoices will still be issued.

What happens if the teacher is away? Do I still have to pay for my individual lesson?

If the teacher is away they will try to make up the lesson at a leater time. If the lesson cannot be made-up, you will recieve a credit for that lessons. This can either be applied to the next term’s inovoice or refunded to you.

Do I still have to pay for my individual lesson if I am away?

Yes, the teacher has reserved that time specifically for you, and payment is required regardless of your attendance. It is up to the teacher’s discretion whether they will offer a makeup lesson, but they are not obligated to. No credits or refund will be given for missed lessons.

Why have I been charged for a lesson when it is on a public holiday?

Teachers with students scheduled for lessons on public holidays will notify admin about whether they can make up the lesson.
If the teacher does not believe they can make it up, the student will not be invoiced for that lesson.
However, if you have been invoiced for the lesson, it is because the teacher has confirmed they can make it up. If the lesson has not been made up by the end of the term, the student will either receive a refund or credit for the lesson.

Do you accept creative kids vouchers?

Yes, we do! Just email the voucher (preferably with the QR code in a screenshot) to admin, and they will apply it to your invoice.

I sent through my creative kids voucher, why am I still receiving outstanding invoice reminders?

Service NSW may take up to 6 weeks to send us the voucher payment. Until we receive it, the invoice will show the voucher amount as outstanding.
Don’t worry, we are aware of this, and you can ignore any reminders (unless the outstanding balance if more than the Creative Kids voucher amount).

What happens if I do not pay my invoice?

If your invoice remainds unpaid, you will continue to recieve reminder notifications via email & text until the end of the term. If the next term begins and the invoice is still unpaid your enrolment will be discontinued and matters regarding the outstanding balance will be escalated.
