Are you a Central Coast music student keen to experiment with jazz improvisation? Central Coast Conservatorium is launching a new Jazz Improv Ensemble with resident jazz master Ash Turner.
The group class will run on Thursday nights at Central Coast Conservatorium in Mann Street, Gosford, from 6.15pm-7.15pm. Aimed at high school musicians the session will offer students an introduction to jazz harmony, rhythm and improvisation.
“It’s normal for some students to be quite nervous when they first try improvising in front of others but by the end of the first class students are excited and encouraged to hear just how good they can sound with a little guidance and just a few notes,” said Ash.
