We are delighted to announce that Patrick Brennan has been appointed as Artistic Director & CEO of the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music.
Many in our community will know Patrick for his significant role in shaping the Conservatorium’s artistic direction over many years. Having served as Artistic Director (2011–2025) and previously held both Artistic Director and CEO roles between 2014 and 2020, Patrick’s enduring commitment to the Conservatorium reflects his passion for nurturing musical excellence and fostering creativity across all ages.
Patrick attained his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and spent 15 years performing professionally as a bassoonist with Australia’s leading orchestras before pursuing an acclaimed career as a conductor. He has directed numerous ensembles and founded our cornerstone Premier Ensembles pathway on the Central Coast, as well as creating and developing musical organisations such as the Regional Youth Orchestra of NSW, Central Coast Opera, and the Northern Sydney Schools Wind Orchestra. These contributions to the musical community clearly demonstrating his lifelong dedication to music education and community engagement on the Central Coast and beyond.

Patrick’s return to the CEO Role brings deep musical expertise, proven leadership and a renewed focus on collaboration, education and artistic excellence. As we move into this exciting new chapter, Patrick is committed to supporting our exceptional teaching community, strengthening connections with families and students, all whilst ensuring the Conservatorium continues to thrive as a vital part of our region’s cultural landscape.
