Central Coast Conservatorium is proud to welcome back talented musical theatre student and alumna Mia Cross to the Con as a vocal teacher for primary school aged students. 

2024 Central Coast Philharmonia Richard Newton Scholarship winner and 2023 Allen Family Scholarship finalist Mia is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music (Musical Theatre) at Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She will be available to teach on Friday afternoons from 3.30pm.

Former St Peters College Tuggerah student, Mia has starred in over 18 musicals and has won several scholarships and competitions, including the Central Coast Philharmonia Richard Newton Scholarship, Pearl Beach Scholarship and taking first place for musical theatre at the prestigious Sydney Eisteddfod in 2019 and 2022. 

“I’m very excited to be teaching at Central Coast Conservatorium and sharing my love for singing with younger students,” said Mia.

Under the Tutelage of Yvette Masters Mia was awarded the 2021 Central Coast Conservatorium Senior Vocal Scholarship and finalist in the 2021 and 2023 Allen Family Scholarship.

Mia also regularly performs in the ‘Youth and Performing Arts’ (YIPA) concerts, showcasing the best young talent on the coast, winning the ‘2022 Rotary Gosford North-Bob Pye memorial Scholarship.
