Janaki Selvarajan –
Company Secretary
Janaki brings over 10 years of teaching and community leadership with a collaborative listen first, then act approach. In her volunteer role as Secretary of School P&C sub-committee, she’s successfully managed multi-stakeholder operations while maintaining regulatory compliance and implementing operational improvements.
Key Strengths: Exceptional stakeholder engagement across diverse groups, hands-on budget and volunteer management experience, and proven ability to reinvigorate struggling committees. Multiple community awards including NSW P&C Volunteer of the Year nominations demonstrate her effectiveness.
Qualifications: Graduate Diploma Education, Certificate III Financial Services and current ACNC Governance training.
Laura Denham –
Director
Laura brings over 20 years of leadership in technology, events and business management, with extensive volunteer experience including five years with the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music events and Olympic Games operations. As a former business owner and technology consulting director, she has proven stakeholder management and comprehensive operational knowledge from small enterprises to major corporations.
Key Strengths: Cyber security and privacy governance, ACNC compliance, financial systems integration, event operations and change management. Her combination of business acumen, governance training and deep volunteer engagement makes her well-equipped to establish robust governance frameworks.
Qualifications: BA in Mathematics & Statistics, Diploma of Education, Graduate Certificate in Marketing, Project Management and current ACNC Governance training.
David Booth OAM –
Director
David Booth OAM is a community and business leader. He has served the Central Coast in both a business and a charitable capacity for over 50 years.
David ran a prominent family business that was established on the Central Coast in 1939 until it was sold in 2023.
In recognition of David’s work with charities, schools, sporting groups, and as a Trustee for the A I Chapman Estate he was awarded a Medal of Order of Australia (OAM) in January 2020.
David ran his prominent family business on the Coast that started in 1939. The business was sold in 2023. David received a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in January 2020 in recognition of his work with charities, schools, sporting groups, and as a Trustee for the AIan Chapman Estate.
David is a Justice of Peace. He also serves on the Boards of many local businesses and charities. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
David’s focus on the Central Coast Conservatorium Board is in finance, sales, strategy and fundraising.
