The Armed Man | Central Coast Philharmonia and Central Coast Youth Orchestra

Central Coast Philharmonia Choir sings Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace, accompanied by the Central Coast Youth Orchestra at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Woy Woy on 29 July.
Written in 1999 to mark the relocation of the British Armoury Museum from London to Leeds, Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace was also intended it to be in memory of those who had died in the Kosovo conflict. Written on the eve of the new millennium it was also meant as a message of hope, that the future would have more peace and fewer wars.
Presenting other works on the night will be the Central Coast Children’s/ Youth Choir and local choral ensemble Ebb & Flow.
