Flautist Kayla Lush set to study at Sydney Conservatorium

We are delighted that another one of our hard-working students Kayla Lush has been given an unconditional offer to study a Bachelor of Music degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2023.

Over many years Kayla has immersed herself in a vast number of programs at the CCCM which has complimented the excellent teaching and mentoring of her Conservatorium flute teacher Rosalie Bourne. Kayla’s passion, diligence and dedication to playing and practising the flute has certainly paid off. This latest accolade sits beautifully at the top of an impressive list of achievements including: 

  • Solo instrumental Performer – Opera in the Arboretum 2022
  • Principal Flute – Regional Youth Orchestra NSW (RYONSW) 2022
  • Guest artist – Pearl Beach Scholarship Concert 2022
  • 2 Bouddi Foundation Grant awards – 2022 
  • Piccolo & Flute  – Regional Youth Orchestra NSW (RYONSW) 2019 – 2021
  • Principal Flute –  Central Coast Youth Orchestra (CCYO)  2017 – ongoing
  • Principal Flute – Central Coast Symphonic Wind Orchestra (CCSWO) 2017 – ongoing 
  • 2nd Flute – Symphony Central Coast (SCC)  2017 – 2022 
  • Pearl Beach Progress Association Scholarship (Winner) 2021 
  • Allan Family Scholarship Finalist – 2020
  • CC Conservatorium of Music Senior Scholarship – 2020
  • Bouddi Junior Woodwind Scholarship – 2016
  • Flute – Primary Wind Ensemble (PWE)  2014 – 2016
