Upcoming Student Concerts and Events - updated 30 March

Please note that there have been a number of changes made to the concert and event listings due to unforeseen circumstances arising from COVID-19.

While we are disappointed that COVID continues to disrupt our schedule of events, all changes have been made with the health and wellbeing of our student, teachers and broader community in mind. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate the situation as it unfolds.

Brass Masterclass – POSTPONED
This Masterclass has be POSTPONED TO  29 April 2022. Further information can be found outlined on the specific news article dedicated to this event.  Click here.

However, in the interim, we encourage brass students to register to perform at our continuing student concert.  Details can be found in the Concert Information section below.

Conservatorium Student Concert Day (all departments) – TIME CHANGE
Date: Saturday 2 April 2022
Time: Concerts have been combined into 1 concert from 12.30pm onwards
Venue: Greenway Chapel, 460 Avoca Drive, Green Point
Accompanist: Lissa Mannukka
Information: Students of the Conservatorium are offered the opportunity to perform an instrumental solo with piano accompaniment once a term. There is no charge to the students for the accompaniment at the student concert. Students performing with accompaniment must organise and pay for their own rehearsal with the accompanist.

Adult Soiree – ACCOMPANIST CHANGE
Date: Saturday 2 April 2022
Time: 7pm
Venue: Greenway Chapel, 460 Avoca Drive, Green Point
Information: Adult Soiree provides a positive and supportive environment for adult students of all levels. Students register here. Sign-up sheets will also be placed on the Notice Board 2 weeks prior to the event.

Vocal Department Concert – POSTPONED

Vocal students are encouraged to register to perform at the Student Concert on Saturday 2 April.  Details are as follows:

Venue: Parkview room, Central Coast Leagues Club. Dane Street, Gosford. All students are encouraged to attend and support our premier youth ensembles.

Woodwind Performance Workshop

Central Coast Conservatorium wind students, of all ages and abilities, are invited to engage in a woodwind performance workshop with Conductor/Artistic Director Patrick Brennan and Flute teacher Rosalie Bourne.

This workshop will enable participants and observers to learn more about playing their instrument while having fun preparing for exams.

Topics covered will include:

  • Skills Development
  • Stagecraft
  • Ensemble Performance skills
  • Strategies for Pre Performance Nerves

Pearl Beach Junior Showcase concert
Date: Saturday 21 May 2022
Time: 2pm
Venue: Pearl Beach Progress Hall
Information: A concert featuring Primary School aged musicians from the Conservatorium of Music – selection by teacher nomination.

Irvine family Piano Scholarship competition concert
Date: Saturday 21 May 2022
Time: 2pm
Venue: Pearl Beach Progress Hall
Information: The annual piano scholarship competition for senior students chosen through scholarship auditions and nominated by teachers to participate. This event is held as part of the Pearl Beach Junior Showcase.

Pearl Beach Association Senior Scholarship competition concert
Date: Sunday 22 May 2022
Time: 2pm
Venue: Pearl Beach Progress Hall
Information: The annual scholarship competition for senior students chosen from the scholarship audition process.

*NOTE* Tickets typically sell out for the Pearl Beach Events so please register in advance if you are planning to attend. Payment must be made on the day.  Cash preferred.
