Term 1 Highlights

Opera in the Arboretum, 23 March

Our Central Coast Chamber Orchestra musicians have been busy rehearsing with Artistic Director Patrick Brennan for Opera in the Arboretum on 23 March – a highlight of the Central Coast’s events calendar. The outdoor concert features world-class opera singers –  tenor Diego Torre, soprano Sophie Salvesani, baritone José Carbó and mezzo soprano Shikara Ringdahl.

Premier Ensembles Concert, 5 April

Join Central Coast Conservatorium of Music for our end-of-term Premier Ensembles Concert at Gosford Anglican Church, with performances from our Primary Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Wind Orchestra, Central Coast Youth Orchestra and Children’s/Youth Choir.

Student Concert Series, 6 April

Our Student Concert Series is an opportunity for Central Coast Conservatorium one-to-one music students to perform for an appreciative audience in front of family and friends at Robert Knox Hall.

Adult Soiree Concert Series, 6 April

Adult students of the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music will take to the stage at Robert Knox Hall for an intimate evening concert for family and friends.

We’re delighted to be welcoming Phillip Shovk and Georg Pedersen back to Robert Knox Hall for the first Charmian & Friends afternoon concert for 2024 on April 7. The musical duo will be peforming cello and piano sonatas by Beethoven, Shostakovich and Debussy.

Central Coast Conservatorium of Music proudly supports our community organisations including Central Coast Philharmonia Choir and Symphony Central Coast. One of the greatest benefits of our community affiliations is the opportunity it provides our students and teachers to share, engage and develop with peers and colleagues who share similar challenges and opportunities within the arts on the Central Coast.

Central Coast Philharmonia Choir Concert – Eric Whitacre and Z Randall Stroope, 13 April

Join Central Coast Philharmonia Choir for their first concert of 2024, featuring the beautiful compositions of contemporary American composers – Grammy Award-winning composer and conductor, Eric Whitacre and Z Randall Stroope accompanied by Lilli Naulu on piano. At St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Woy Woy, 13 April, 7.30pm. www.ccphilharmonia.com.au

Symphony Central Coast – Into the Unknown, 14 April

Into the Unknown – Unfinished, Unanswered and Unidentified. This concert at Central Coast Grammar School features Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony, Charles Ives’ The Unanswered Question and Elgar’s Enigma Variations. Tickets: www.symphonycentralcoast.com.au
