World-class opera singers join young musicians from the Central Coast Chamber Orchestra conducted by Central Coast Conservatorium Artistic Director Patrick Brennan at the 2024 Opera in the Arboretum on 23 March.

Experience the magic of opera at the Pearl Beach Arboretum, a coastal rainforest oasis on the Central Coast of NSW. You’ll be treated to Stella performances from tenor Diego Torre, soprano Sophie Salvesani, baritone José Carbó and mezzo soprano Shikara Ringdahl.

This year’s program features opera’s most celebrated showstoppers – Nessun Dorma, The Doll Song, Lakmé duet, Pearl Fishers’ duet and a bracket from Verdi’s Rigoletto. There is also a Neapolitan Song theme flowing throughout.

With Central Coast Conservatorium’s vocal teacher Michaele Archer at the helm as Artistic Director, the annual event is supported by young players from the Central Coast Chamber Orchestra conducted by Patrick Brennan with Kate Johnson on piano. The event also welcomes harpist Esther Maria as our special guest artist.

This is an open-air, all-weather event, so bring your own food, drinks, chairs, and blankets. Enjoy a picnic with family and friends in this beautiful natural bush setting, then settle in for the show!

This is a charity event presented by the Rotary Club of Woy Woy Inc. In 2024 the major beneficiaries will be:
• Central Coast Conservatorium Strings Scholarships
• Umina Surf Lifesaving Club
• Pearl Beach Rural Fire Brigade and other Rotary Projects
