Congratulations to all the students who participated in the scholarship auditions for the 2024 Central Coast Conservatorium of Music Competitive Scholarship auditions held on Saturday 28 October at Robert Knox Hall.
Self-taught guitarist, and Central Coast of Conservatorium guitar teacher and director of the Guitar Ensemble, Steve Smillie’s first professional gig was on the back of a truck aged 13 at a festival in the NSW south coast town of Kiama.
Multi-talented student Kairavan Selvarajan learns guitar with Guy Strazz and also has trumpet lessons as well as playing drums, piano, violin and ukelele. He also plays in the Central Coast Conservatorium's Primary Wind Ensemble.
Guitar Masters in Concert: Award-winning electro-acoustic guitarists Guy Strazz and Mark Johns will be taking audiences on a musical journey of great tunes from past and present at Gosford Regional Art Gallery on 8 October.
